Director of Sales - Maintenance
Position Overview
The Director of Sales for R.P. Marzilli's Maintenance operations will assist the President in meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Responsibilities include analyzing and presenting sales data, developing and leading sales training programs, collaborating with marketing, overseeing CRM processes, identifying potential revenue gaps, and leading sales meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, monitor, and present sales metrics and business trends to make informed decisions, drive accountability, and increase revenue.
- Develop, implement, and lead sales training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of sales teams.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop initiatives that drive revenue and business growth.
- Outline, document, and continually improve best practices related to sales and revenue growth within the division.
- Aid in setting, tracking, and managing individual, branch, and overall division’s sales goals.
- Oversee CRM’s in terms of pipeline, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely insights about backlog and revenue/client growth.
- Identify potential gaps in revenue and develop an action plan to prevent deviations.
- Lead each branch’s sales meetings.
- Develop client relationships through availability for client requests, collaboration with external parties, and maintaining communication across the in-house team.
- Build and maintain positive attitudes and relationships with internal sales teams, management, field, and external parties such as clients, general contractors, landscape architects, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
- Show ability and willingness to perform other job functions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in the service industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and development.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, time management, and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
- Proactive, self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, and a proven problem solver with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Position Range
$165,000 - $185,000 annually, plus quarterly incentive bonuses
