Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the facility’s physical plant, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Schedule maintenance staff and outside contractors.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations regarding safety, fire, and environmental standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response.
- Work collaboratively with administration and other departments to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance management experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and safety codes.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
