Director of Sales Enablement and Development
About the role
NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Director of Sales Enablement & Development to build and scale a high-performing sales organization. This role is not a traditional L&D role but rather one that owns the entire sales engine, from hiring to ramping to executing.
Responsibilities
- Design and run a L&D strategy focused on revenue impact
- Partner with recruiting to define hiring criteria
- Create onboarding processes that produce productive reps fast
- Run live call reviews and provide direct feedback
- Track and identify areas for improvement in sales performance
- Systematize winning behaviors and extract repeatable frameworks
- Build stronger sales managers and hold them accountable
- Use AI and tools to sharpen messaging and feedback loops
Requirements
- Experience in Business Lending/Lending
- 5+ years in sales training, enablement, or sales leadership
- Track record of measurably improving sales performance
- Strong instincts for diagnosing and fixing performance issues
- Experience working directly with reps

Pay
The compensation range for this role reflects a broad spectrum based on factors such as experience, level, and geographic location. Not all candidates will be eligible for the top of the range. We are open to considering candidates at multiple levels depending on experience.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office collaboration. Team members are expected to work from the office closest to their residence a minimum of three days per week. We prefer candidates located in or near Scottsdale, AZ or New York City (Manhattan).
