The Director of Sales & Marketing will manage two sales team members while also carrying a direct sales role, supporting a high-occupancy community with continued growth runway in the Chicago market, including Aurora and Foundry Park. We are seeking a top-performing sales leader with 5+ years of proven senior housing sales experience and a track record of driving occupancy, referrals, and move-ins. Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $115,000, plus a strong commission/bonus plan with annual earning potential of over 30% based on continued strong performance. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Occupancy Growth Develop and execute a structured sales and marketing strategy to achieve budgeted occupancyGenerate and convert qualified inquiries, referrals, tours, and move-insUtilize Solera sales methodologies to achieve targeted closing ratiosTrack, analyze, and report sales performance and conversion metrics Lead Management & Follow-Up Respond promptly to all inquiries and ensure consistent follow-upMaintain accurate lead and activity tracking within the CRMMeasure referral source effectiveness and adjust outreach strategies accordingly Referral Development & Community Outreach Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehab centers, and other referral partnersAchieve and maintain weekly outreach and referral contact goalsAttend networking events and represent the community professionally in the local market Tour Readiness & Community Presentation Ensure model, respite, and rent-ready rooms are tour-ready at all timesConduct daily walk-throughs to ensure the community presents at its bestPartner with leadership on staging and presentation of model spaces Marketing & Reporting Complete weekly marketing and occupancy reportsDevelop Competitive Market Analyses at least twice annuallyPartner with the Home Office team on advertising, branding, and public relations initiativesSupport social media and local marketing efforts Leadership & Collaboration Partner closely with the Executive Director to align sales strategy with operational goalsParticipate in stand-up meetings and cross-department collaborationAssist with special events, open houses, and community programs The Ideal Candidate Approaches the role with an entrepreneurial, ownership mindsetIs motivated by exceeding sales and occupancy goalsBuilds trust with families through empathy, professionalism, and follow-throughMaintains flexibility to meet prospect and referral schedules, including some evenings and weekendsDemonstrates integrity, accountability, and strong leadership presence Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or real estateProven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy or revenue goalsStrong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to individuals and groupsCommitment to exceptional customer serviceProficiency with CRM systems and basic office technologyValid driver’s license and reliable transportation Trulee Evanston is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
