About the role

The Director of Residential Services at Community Options, Inc. is responsible for leading a team to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position requires a bachelor’s degree with two years of full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train a team to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
  • Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
  • Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
  • Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
  • Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
  • May conduct programmatic investigations
  • Be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
  • May be assigned additional tasks and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with problem-solving against multiple priorities
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports

Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete background checks, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Pay

$60,000 starting salary
