About the role
The Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) is a specialized facility dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. The Director of Quality Management will play a crucial role in ensuring the facility's accreditation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating all survey activities to maintain accreditation, certification, and licensure.
- Organizing monthly interdisciplinary QAPI Team meetings with activities, adhering to the QAPI Calendar.
- Receiving and reviewing quarterly quality improvement reports.
- Aiding the Medical Director and Quality Program Director in developing and implementing medical staff quality improvement activities.
- Leading the hospital team in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) at least annually and for every Level 3-4 incident, unless otherwise directed.
- Completing monthly quality-related data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Focusing on employee training and education within the workplace.
- Collaborating with the leadership team to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid state license.
- Experience in at least one of the following core areas: Quality, Survey Readiness, Risk Management, Infection Control, Employee Health and Education.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, and certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
