Director of Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and review the business unit’s purchasing process to include vendor solicitation and pre-qualification; contract bidding, negotiation and award; vendor performance feedback and monitoring; dispute resolution; and vendor management.
• Partner with our construction team to ensure all products and services are ready for building our customer’s beautiful homes.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in construction management or similar discipline is desired.
• A minimum of six years of experience in Purchasing Procurement, Estimating, and construction related activities is required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills.
• Experience managing purchasing processes.
• Knowledge of construction materials and trade partners.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Benefits

• Annual salary of $155,000 - $165,000 plus bonus potential.
