Director of Purchasing

Responsibilities

• Oversight of purchasing activities for 10–15 restaurant locations.
• Development, negotiation, and management of vendor contracts to optimize cost savings and quality.
• Implementation and maintenance of purchasing systems and processes in Restaurant365.
• Analysis of purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensuring consistent supply of food, beverage, and operational goods to all units.
• Collaboration with culinary, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business goals.
• Monitoring vendor performance and ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and delivery standards.
• Leading and mentoring the purchasing team to drive continuous improvement.
• Management of inventory and control costs while maintaining product availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Experience overseeing purchasing for multi-unit operations (10+ locations preferred).
• Proficiency with Restaurant365 and strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
• Proven track record of cost savings and process improvement.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
