Director of Property Management – Paducah, KY

About the role

The Housing Authority of Paducah, Kentucky, seeks a Director of Property Management to oversee all property management activities and staff for 855 public housing units.

Responsibilities

• Directs leasing, compliance and reporting, lease enforcement, marketing, wait list management, and resident relations
• Serves as a representative of HAP in meetings with tenants, tenant advocates, governmental agencies, HUD, and various other entities
• Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal housing laws, including fair housing and landlord/tenant law
• Manages property performance through metrics, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and evaluation of non-financial performance measures
• Develops and implements strategies to improve resident satisfaction and retention
• Supervises and develops a team of property managers and support staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field or five (5) years progressively responsible experience in public housing management in a supervisory role
• At least three years’ working experience in an administrative capacity related to budgeting, data processing, and organizational management
• Proven supervisory, leadership, and team-building experience
• Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal housing laws
