About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with an established manufacturer in Columbus, MS that is hiring a Director of Program Management to lead customer programs, manage contract performance, and keep key projects on schedule and within budget.

This is a strong fit for a senior program leader who has managed large, complex programs, worked closely with customers, and owned cost, schedule, risk, budgets, and team performance. The right person will be confident leading cross-functional teams and communicating with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of major customer programs.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, pricing, risks, and deliverables.
  • Track program costs and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Work directly with customers on status updates, needs, and issue resolution.
  • Support proposals, contract planning, pricing, and program financials.
  • Build project timelines, milestones, and progress reports.
  • Lead program teams and provide direction to supervisors and staff.
  • Partner with operations, finance, quality, engineering, and leadership.
  • Identify risks early and create plans to keep programs on track.
  • Support business growth by strengthening customer relationships and expanding program opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in program management, project management, manufacturing, or contract-based production environments.
  • Proven experience managing cost, schedule, risk, budgets, and customer expectations.
  • Experience leading teams, supervisors, or cross-functional project groups.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR requirements.
  • PMP or PgMP certification required, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Pay

$140,000-$150,000 salary or more depending on experience

Schedule

  • 100% Onsite
  • Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts
