Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the facility's therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain administrative and clinical operations that provide the highest quality care and best possible outcomes for patients.
- Provide supervision to program staff.
- Plan and implement program goals, objectives, personnel, resources, and equipment.
- Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcomes, and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits.
- Direct counselors, clinical staff, or other facility/clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program.
- Organize, manage, and coordinate all operational and administrative processes.
- Develop and implement operating policies and procedures for the program or organization; ensure procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocol, regulations, and standards of care.
- Ensure operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency.
- Provide staff management, including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Manage an assigned caseload if applicable to the program.
- Support, teach, and act as a program resource for other staff members.
- Provide direct care relative to diagnosis and therapeutic management independently, using consultation where appropriate.
- Monitor staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels are available to facilitate care in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, maintain and audit charts and records for patients.
- Serve as liaison and provide consultation with other staff on related issues, regulations, and standards pertaining to area of clinical specialty.
- Provide outreach services in area of clinical specialty as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field required.
- Master’s degree in behavioral health preferred.
- Four or more years’ experience working in behavioral health required.
- One or more years’ management experience required.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
