About the Role
Join Guardian of the Heartland, a leading long-term care pharmacy services provider, as a key member of our local management team in Fenton, Missouri. This role focuses on driving sales growth, building client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service in the long-term care sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual Sales Plan to achieve budget goals through new client acquisition and increased sales to existing clients.
- Build and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline for the pharmacy.
- Evaluate the profitability of new business opportunities before proposal.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients by resolving issues, advising on regulatory matters, and training client staff.
- Supervise and develop the Account Management team to ensure superior service to internal and external customers.
- Market the pharmacy as the preferred provider to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other long-term care facilities.
- Ensure maximum customer adoption rates in all serviced facilities.
- Maintain client contracts and relationships through expert advisory services and problem-solving.
- Act as a liaison with operations to maintain high service levels and resolve service-related issues.
- Provide consulting services to assist clients in compliance.
- Participate in local and national association meetings related to long-term care.
- Manage contracts and position pharmacy solutions to increase revenue.
- Ensure active participation in the pharmacy QA committee and collect customer feedback.
- Provide e-MAR interface support and act as a liaison between customers and the pharmacy.
- Supervise Account Managers, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 3+ years of new sales or account management experience in Long Term Care (LTC), Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Geriatric Facility; pharmaceutical/pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
- Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with minimal direction.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple tasks and strict deadlines.
- Quality-minded and motivated to identify and address inaccuracies.
Work Environment
- Up to 75%-80% travel required.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel may be necessary.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Company car provided. Territory: State of Missouri.
