About the Role
The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the oversight and management of pharmacy service, drug stock, drug storage, drug distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical care. The Director may also be the Pharmacist in Charge (Class C) as designated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Pharm D; Masters Degree or equivalent experience, or residency
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of hospital pharmacy postgraduate experience at a supervisory level.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous director level experience or equivalent
- Required Certifications/Licenses: Possession of a current Texas State Board of Pharmacy License
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: IV Admixture Certification
