Director of Nursing (DON) – Interim to Permanent Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development opportunities for our nursing staff and caregivers.
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies in line with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct initial client assessments and re-assessments; ensure all care plans are accurate, comprehensive, and up to date.
• Handle interviewing, training, and performance evaluations for caregiving staff.
• Work closely with the executive team and maintain open communication with families to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
• Oversee quality assurance, infection control, and client safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (home care experience is required).
• Regulation Knowledge: Strong understanding of home care regulations, compliance, and clinical best practices.
• CHAP Familiarity: CHAP experience is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Hard Skills: Knowledge of SwyftOps CRM, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar systems, is a plus.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours/weekends as needed, and a willingness to travel up to one hour for client visits.
