Director of National Sales Accounts (Washington, DC Region)
About the role
The selected candidate will drive revenue growth by developing and implementing sales strategies to attract corporate clients. Responsibilities include building strong client relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and meeting hotel revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to increase occupancy and revenue through corporate bookings, group sales, and special events.
- Manage current accounts and solicit new business by expanding the account base, identifying new markets, and creating innovative plans.
- Serve as part of a broader sales network and organization, attending internal and external meetings and events as required.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Generate leads and convert them into bookings through cold calling, net working, and industry events.
- Attend important business networking events and participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and achieve sales and revenue goals.

- Be open to learning and following team strategy.
- Produce production reports as required by Revenue Manager and Director of Sales.
Requirements
Essential requirements include strong organization and negotiation skills, the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, and excellent relationship building and communication skills. Must have a thorough understanding of hotel operations and the ability to negotiate profitable sales. Fluency in the use and functionality of Delphi is preferred.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven success in sales and revenue generation, as well as experience in hospitality or a related field, are highly desirable.

Pay
Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually.
