About the role

Exit 11 Coffee is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead and execute marketing across all channels of the business. Reporting directly to the Owner, this position is responsible for translating company vision into finished, on-brand marketing and for managing the day-to-day output of a small internal team and external vendors. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with direct execution.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce brand standards across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Develop and manage the marketing calendar, including social media, promotions, and product launches.
  • Oversee social media across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter/X, including planning, posting, and community engagement.
  • Manage the company newsletter, SMS/text program, and website to ensure content is current and on-brand.
  • Direct the content production, including video and reels, in coordination with the company photographer and social media assistant.
  • Plan and execute marketing for new product and drink launches.
  • Oversee the design and production of print and physical materials, including menu boards, flyers, banners, signage, advertisements, and merchandise.
  • Oversee the design and production of product packaging and labels, coordinating internal staff and external vendors as needed.
  • Manage online reputation, including Google and Yelp reviews and the accuracy of Google Business listings and photography.
  • Support marketing for community events, including promotion and event materials.
  • Manage and direct a small internal team (graphic design and social media support) and any contracted agencies or vendors.
  • Use AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and output.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in a marketing role, including experience in a management or leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience marketing directly to consumers.
  • Working knowledge of all core marketing disciplines: brand, content, social media, email/SMS, web, print, and events.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to produce work directly, not solely direct others.
  • Strong design judgment and the ability to evaluate and direct creative work to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and team members simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with, or demonstrated willingness to adopt, AI tools in daily workflow.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in quick-service restaurants, coffee, food service, or consumer retail.
  • Experience directing outside agencies, vendors, or contractors.

Pay

$70,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position based in Washington, MO.
