Position Overview

The Director of Marketing and Business Development is responsible for promoting advanced, world-class technology products and driving new business development globally. The Director of Marketing focuses on communication, sales support, and understanding customer needs. The Director of Business Development is tasked with finding new sales opportunities and expanding the company's presence.

Objectives of This Role

  • Collaborate with management, marketing, and sales to develop marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products.
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, identifying and securing new accounts.
  • Identify and build marketing team strengths, improving weaknesses, and training the team to close skill gaps.
  • Identify new market opportunities and new product opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and develop new opportunities to produce business growth.
  • Nurture relationships with key clients, develop new relationships, and expand the brand's presence.
  • Lead the development of marketing plans, working closely with clients, management, creative and content teams, and distribution partners.
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans, strategies, and promotional programs to drive product interest and sales.
  • Hold regular meetings with account managers to review pipeline, resolve challenges, present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training.
  • Attend and/or participate in conventions, conferences, and trade shows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications, with an MBA preferred.
  • 10 to 20 years of directly applicable experience in senior marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, managerial, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Proven ability to understand complex equipment applications and clearly market them.
  • Experience with website search optimization, including SEO, SEM, and AEO tools, as well as pay-per-click advertising.
