About the Role

The Director of Manufacturing Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across all manufacturing functions, including production, engineering, and R&D. This role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team, establishing strong operational systems, and driving continuous improvement to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability. The Director will help define and achieve key performance objectives while fostering collaboration across departments to support growth. With a holistic view of the business, this leader will champion a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus, strengthening J-Tech’s intentional culture and positioning the company for continued innovation and long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing functions, including production, engineering, and R&D.
  • Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
  • Establish and optimize operational systems to drive efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Define and achieve key performance objectives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
  • Strengthen the company’s intentional culture while supporting long-term growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in manufacturing or a related industry; experience in transportation and/or custom manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and departments.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency with technology, including ERP and engineering software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS® CAD), preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated community involvement is strongly preferred.
