Director of Land Acquisition

About the role

The Director of Land Acquisition plays a crucial role in fulfilling the business unit's production needs by identifying, negotiating, and securing land acquisition opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify acquisition opportunities through a network of brokers, builders, bankers, landowners, engineers, planners, attorneys, municipal officials, and in-house contacts
• Prepare and interpret financial and market analyses
• Propose lot/product mix and issue purchase proposals
• Negotiate with landowners and review purchase agreements

Requirements

• A master's degree and at least eight years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to prepare, interpret, and present various financial analyses, as well as statistical market analyses
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication skills
• Maintain a valid driver's license
