Position Summary
This position is responsible for leading the marketing efforts for the Network division’s brand management, B2B communications, and the development of marketable concepts and solutions customized to client initiatives. For the SBS Entertainment Division, this role also includes developing strong, long-lasting relationships with sponsorship partners in local markets to meet revenue targets.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and bring to life scalable unique marketable ideas and solutions that are customized for specific company or client initiatives and their associated KPIs.
- Write compelling proposals utilizing brand and consumer insights, research, and analytics, to create engaging marketing stories told through an audio-focused lens.
- Involvement in the development, marketing, and execution of network in-person and virtual events with a focus on sponsorship opportunities.
- Partnership with programming, content, and other key company stakeholders to play a leading role in sales marketing ideation around new annual or quarterly initiatives, key cultural moments, and other opportunities to be leveraged by clients.
- Work with EVP of Network division to continually improve and refine sales products and offerings.
- Collect and compile various information and data from all company divisions as needed to adeptly combine into and consistently keep updated cohesive synergistic company marketing presentations.
- Oversee network campaigns and promotional extensions all the way through from pre-sale to post-sale recap with quantitative/qualitative results and attribution.
- Understand and embrace the challenges of the constantly shifting media and advertising landscape, and proactively determine how sales teams should respond and react with new ideas, new thinking, and new approaches.
- Collaborate with SBSE leadership to develop and implement a sponsorship budget to achieve the sales plan.
- Manage all sponsorship activities, including sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, sponsor follow-up and support, and representing the company at industry functions.
- Submit marketing plans, prospect activity, and forecast reports to SBSE leadership; provide briefings to others as necessary or as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Create and manage sponsorship marketing strategy.
- Prepare media kits, marketing materials, ad sales contracts, etc.
- Aid in the marketing for the SBSE shows to grow audience and influence.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, event, and annual reports as needed.
- Perform other projects as assigned by Network and/or SBSE leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum, in marketing, sales, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years at a media or related organization in a strategic sales/marketing leadership capacity where responsible for ad sales/sponsorship development, marketing solutions, presentation, and execution
- Previous relationships with media buyers, media planners, and industry leading brands preferred
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and negotiate with sponsors and advertisers
- Strong knowledge of current audio and digital performance measurement and attribution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to formulate clear and concise marketing materials, persuasive sales stories, and presentation delivery to internal and external audiences
- Strong understanding of advertising across multiple platforms but specifically in Audio platforms
- Create and consult with brands about customized marketing solutions for their company
