Director of Intake- Temporary Leave Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of the agency’s daily intake and referral process
• Reviewing new referrals and determining appropriate services and staffing needs
• Cooking admissions and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and timely
• Communicating with clients, families, referral sources, hospitals, facilities, and other healthcare professionals
• Working closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition from referral to start of care
• Maintaining accurate intake records and documentation
• Identifying opportunities to improve the intake and admissions process
• Ensuring compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations
• Providing leadership, organization, and support to intake staff
• Aiding in maintaining strong relationships with referral partners

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare intake, admissions, home care, healthcare administration, or a related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional and confident communication with clients, families, and referral sources
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred

Contract Details

This position is being offered specifically as temporary maternity leave coverage. The anticipated contract period is approximately 4 months, from mid to late October 2026 through mid to late February 2027. Compensation for the full contract period will range from approximately $28,000 to $32,500, depending on experience and qualifications. The contract is temporary and may be terminated early if the coverage is no longer required or based on the needs of the organization.
