Director of Housekeeping

Overview

Omni Hotel & Resorts is seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to join their team. This role oversees the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring an elevated guest experience and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness standards and a consistent guest experience, as documented in Medallia and AAA, and execute all Omni Hotels facility standards and guidelines.
• Solves difficult or unusual problems arising with Guests, while maintaining good Guest relationships, demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken.
• Ensures a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the Housekeeping department.
• To specify and purchase supplies and record all data pertaining to the Housekeeping department.
• Effectively monitors and facilitates the housekeeping department's role in the property's preventative maintenance CARE program throughout the hotel.
• Maintains a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.
• Effectively coaches and counsels associates and managers as needed and completes performance evaluations.
• Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
• Identifies ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
• Closes coordination and communication with other internal departments.
• Maintains close interactions with the front office to ensure rooms are available for sale, and with Engineering to ensure guest rooms and all public areas are at peak operational levels.
• Oversees staff scheduling, OnTrack/Dayforce, and payroll cost controls.
• Maintains Housekeeping turnover to an acceptable level.
• Directly controls the issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms.
• Administers the Lost and Found department, ensuring all Omni Hotel standards are met or exceeded.
• Directly controls the key control program for all Housekeeping associates.
• Maintains close interactions with the front office to ensure rooms are available for sale, and with Engineering to ensure guest rooms and all public areas are at peak operational levels.
• Maintains Housekeeping turnover to an acceptable level.
• Administers the Lost and Found department, ensuring all Omni Hotel standards are met or exceeded.
