Director of Hospice Admissions (RN)
About the role
Lead and oversee regional hospice admissions operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and compassionate access to Empath Health services across Palm Beach and Broward counties. Develop, mentor, and empower a high-performing admissions team through coaching, engagement, and performance accountability. Serve as the primary escalation point for admissions and access issues, providing steady leadership support and ensuring seamless 24/7 responsiveness. Monitor key admissions metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and the overall patient and family experience. Build and strengthen strategic relationships with internal teams, referral partners, and community stakeholders to support growth and streamline access pathways. Champion a culture of empathy, clarity, and service excellence, ensuring every patient and family is welcomed with dignity and understanding.

Requirements
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license with hospice admissions experience
- Leadership experience is key - Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in hospice admissions, access, or sales-related functions with teams of 20+ team members
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of hospice and palliative care regulations and compliance standards
- Valid CPR certification, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between multiple locations
- Bilingual skills preferred
