Director of Admissions (RN)- Hospice

About the role

Serves as a leader for the Admissions Department, focusing on strategy, customer service, workforce, operations, and results. Manages the Admissions Department's strategic plan and collaborates with other program departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership skills in nurse, liaison, program scheduler, and other admissions staff through training, coaching, mentoring, and modeling.
• Collaborate with leadership at all levels to improve program performance, quality, and growth.
• Create a positive culture of growth and development by leading by example through field coaching, account development, and community activities.
• Manage process improvement projects focused on admissions.
• Train and coach staff, manage training completion, and ensure adherence to standards.
• Ensure compliance with AM requirements and manage audits.
• Support the achievement of program, regional, divisional, and national Admissions goals and metrics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of nursing experience preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership/management experience preferred.
• Hospice admissions experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industry policies and practices.
• Ability to motivate and develop others.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
• Experience developing strategies and solutions to improve Admissions performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or business from an accredited college or university, or international equivalent.
• Nurse preferred to be licensed in the State of the programs covered.
