Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership on all technical accounting matters on a global scale.
  • Work in partnership with the Sr. Director, Global Revenue Recognition on all revenue related matters.
  • Provide training and ongoing US GAAP support to the global Controller’s organization on all technical accounting matters.
  • Lead and oversee global financial statement consolidation processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across various regions and entities.
  • Oversee the quarterly and annual financial reporting and ensure financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Work cohesively with the Controller’s organization to ensure alignment of financial practices across different international standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in setting, reviewing, and refining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide primary support on all technical accounting matters including white paper authoring.
  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review with the auditors on relevant technical accounting matters.
  • Responsible for timely performance of all relevant controls over financial reporting.
  • Spearhead research initiatives to stay abreast of U.S. GAAP, global accounting trends and regulatory changes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; however, a Master's degree is preferable.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • 12+ years of accounting experience, including significant roles in BIG 4 and other public companies.
  • Extensive international experience, especially in financial reporting and in-depth understanding of international accounting standards.
  • Robust analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in collaborative environments, with a talent for fostering strong international relationships.
  • Technical proficiency in ASC 606, ASC 842, purchase price allocations, and other complex accounting transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of adaptability, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic global settings.
  • Expertise in global financial statement consolidation methodologies and tools.
