Director of Fundraising
About the role
Lead capital formation for Time Seventeen and build the investor relationships needed to develop infrastructure for geopolitical and catastrophe risk. You will own the fundraising process from investor mapping and positioning through diligence, negotiation, and close. The central challenge is to communicate a new market category with precision: how continuous event-risk prices can enter institutional valuation, trading, and risk-transfer workflows, and what the company needs to prove as it builds that infrastructure. Working directly with the founders, you will connect the company strategy to financing milestones and a credible capital plan. You will coordinate research, commercial, financial, and legal inputs into investor materials, while building durable relationships with investors who understand market infrastructure, insurance, fintech, and digital assets.

- Coordinate investor outreach, meetings, follow-ups, diligence requests, and the data room with clear ownership and accurate information.
- Support term-sheet evaluation and negotiations in partnership with the founders and qualified legal advisers.
- Maintain long-term investor relationships and prepare consistent updates on progress, risks, and use of capital.
Requirements

- Ability to explain technical and financial business models through clear writing, quantitative analysis, and senior-level conversations.

- Experience coordinating diligence and managing a complex process with multiple stakeholders.
- Relevant relationships in fintech, market infrastructure, insurance, or digital assets are valuable.
- Comfort taking ownership in an early-stage environment and working across San Francisco and Hong Kong time zones.
- Location: associated with San Francisco; supports remote work; must be able to coordinate with colleagues in San Francisco and Hong Kong.
