Director of Fundraising

About the role

The Queer Film Collective (QFC) is seeking a Director of Fundraising to lead and oversee the organization's fundraising and development efforts. This is a leadership role responsible for building a sustainable fundraising strategy that supports QFC's programs, operations, growth, and long-term vision. The Director of Fundraising will work closely with the Executive Director and organizational leadership to develop and execute QFC's overall fundraising strategy.

Responsibilities

• Developing annual and long-term fundraising plans
• Establishing fundraising goals
• Managing donor and funder pipelines
• Identifying grant and sponsorship opportunities
• Overseeing fundraising campaigns
• Supporting donor cultivation and stewardship
• Tracking fundraising progress and outcomes
• Establishing systems, processes, and best practices that allow QFC's fundraising efforts to grow sustainably
• Supervising and providing direction to the Fundraising Coordinator(s), delegating research, outreach, administrative, and campaign-support responsibilities as appropriate
• Ensuring that fundraising activities are organized, coordinated, and aligned with QFC's broader organizational priorities

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is strategic, organized, proactive, and passionate about nonprofit development and community impact. Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, grant writing, major gifts, sponsorships, donor relations, or a related field is helpful, but it is not required. We are equally interested in someone who may be newer to fundraising but is dedicated, eager to learn, and excited to help build QFC's fundraising strategy and infrastructure from the ground up.

At this time, all QFC staff positions are volunteer-based. One of QFC's primary goals is to build the resources necessary to create paid opportunities for our team. The Director of Fundraising will play a critical role in helping make that future possible.
