Responsibilities

  • Design and refine manufacturing finance practices, including methods for tracking labor, materials, overhead, and overall program costs.
  • Create job and project accounting frameworks that provide clear insight into profitability across engineering and production activities.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling to support business planning and investment decisions.
  • Produce meaningful financial reporting and performance metrics that help leadership evaluate results and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Absess, recommend, and help implement financial tools or ERP-related solutions that improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and data structures to support a more scalable and reliable finance function.
  • Partner with operations and commercial teams on pricing, quoting, margin analysis, and execution discipline for new and existing programs.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and working capital performance, with attention to receivables, payables, inventory, and overall liquidity.
  • Support compliance-related financial administration, including documentation for tax reporting, contractor reporting, insurance tracking, and employee expense controls.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting leadership to establish standard procedures and develop the team as the organization continues to grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, project accounting, or a combination of these areas.
  • Strong capability in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and spreadsheet-based analysis.
  • Experience improving or introducing finance systems, reporting tools, or ERP platforms.
  • Proven success building financial processes and controls within a growing or evolving business environment.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and work effectively with cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Exposure to engineer-to-order, project-driven manufacturing, capital planning, or strategic finance initiatives is preferred.
