Direct and control all the financial and treasury affairs of the City; managing revenues, expenditures, investments, accounting, budget, debt and financial reporting. Critical Skills Reports on financial mattersCertifies availability of fundsPrepared the City’s budgetsMonitors City payrollMonitors City investmentsRepresents the City on the Property and Liability Insurance Public Entity Pool and also serves as one of the City’s representatives on the health insurance poolCountersigns all debt issuancesNegotiates financial and union contracts Experience & Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field and extensive accounting/financial management experience required; considerable accounting/financial management experience in the public sector and considerable supervisory experience preferred.
