Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost accounting systems to provide accurate and timely data for decision-making.
- Analyze manufacturing performance metrics, including labor, material, and overhead costs, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct variance analysis to assess production efficiency and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide direction and guidance to the Operations Finance Department.
- Lead initiatives to optimize cost structures while maintaining product quality and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with plant directors and operations teams to identify waste reduction opportunities and improve process efficiencies.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost management and labor and process efficiency.
- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and leadership team to project long-term financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Develop a forecast cadence that accounts for major changes to the business while balancing efficient use of time and resources.
- Drive attention to changes in direct input costs and develop pricing recommendations that are equitable to both the Company and our customers.
- Together with finance and operations leadership, develop and maintain capital approval and accountability processes that preserve speed to execution while providing appropriate levels of scrutiny.
- Provide financial insights to support new product launches, capacity growth, market expansion, and potential investments.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes with a focus on driving operational accountability where decisions are made.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance leadership experience and 10 years of overall finance experience, with a strong focus on manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, costing methodologies, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Track record of driving cost-efficiency initiatives and improving profitability.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry or a similar consumer-packaged goods environment.

What You Can Offer
