About the role
The Director of Finance provides leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the firm meets its goals through process improvement and implementation of forward-looking strategies. This role is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of finance and accounting activities at Stafford Rosenbaum LLP.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Managing Partner and Board of Directors in the analysis, development, and implementation of long-range plans, strategies, goals, and objectives for the firm.
- Direct, review and approve preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Develop and document policies, procedures, and internal controls relating to all accounting functions and operations and prepare annual operating and capital budgets, track status of actual versus budget performance monthly.
- Partner with CPA firm to complete necessary tax documents and for advice, as needed.
Requirements
- Well-qualified candidates will have at least ten years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or finance-related areas or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Professional client service communication, able to exercise courtesy, diplomacy, and tact.
- Candidates will be solid collaborators with demonstrated ability to work with attorneys, staff, clients, community, and business partners and are meticulous with strong project management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, while working independently to handle multiple deadlines under aggressive time constraints.
Pay
Competitive salary based on experience.
