Accountabilities
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and operational improvements while supporting executive decision-making and long-term business growth.
- Partner with senior leadership to define, monitor, and improve key performance indicators across the organization.
- Collaborate with department leaders to translate operational metrics into actionable financial insights and recommendations.
- Build and maintain financial forecasting tools, operating models, and reporting frameworks to improve business predictability.
- Own the financial planning and budgeting lifecycle, connecting business objectives with financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve return on investment, increase efficiency, and support sustainable growth.
- Provide strategic financial analysis to support major business initiatives, including product launches, market expansion, operational changes, and potential acquisitions.
- Improve financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support executive leadership and board-level discussions through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Assist with fundraising activities, investor communications, and other strategic finance initiatives.
- Support and evaluate M&A opportunities and other high-impact corporate finance projects.
Requirements
- An experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial modeling, strategic planning, and business analysis.
- Experience operating in fast-paced environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner with leaders across an organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Completion of a two-year investment banking program followed by additional experience in private equity, consulting, banking, or a similar environment.
- 3-8 years of in-house finance experience, preferably within a high-growth or startup environment.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology companies is preferred.
- A strong understanding of financial modeling, three-statement forecasting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building complex financial models.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience analyzing large, complex datasets.
- Proven ability to support or lead M&A transactions, fundraising activities, or strategic financial initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to simplify complex financial information and communicate insights effectively to executives and stakeholders.
- A comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
