Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Adhere to department service standards of accuracy, consistency and trustworthiness
• Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult situations in all types of business conditions
• Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees
• Plan, communicate, and implement procedures for the overall efficient operation of areas of responsibilities
• Coordinate the accurate preparation and distribution of the property’s financial reporting
• Maintain department compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls
• Participate in the property executive management staff
• Review staffing levels to maintain optimum levels of employment
• Delegate authority and assign responsibilities as needed
• Oversee the annual budgeting & forecasting processes
• Absorb overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Finance Department and the property
• Issue performance documents, including disciplinary actions and performance reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proficient in English verbal and written
• Proficient with iOS devices
• Post Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
• Past progressive experience in finance or accounting, with casino, gaming, hospitality, or highly regulated environment preferred
• Demonstrated leadership over cross functional teams
• Strategic, analytical and decision making skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop higher performing teams
• High level of integrity, discretion and accountability
