Director of Field Operations, Mission Critical

Job Summary

The Director of Field Operations is responsible for leading field operations for hyperscale and co-location data center projects, working closely with the VP of Construction, Field Teams, and Project Teams to ensure operational excellence, project success, and strategic team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mission Critical Field Operations
• Oversee Project Start-Up
• Own Schedule Development and Management
• Build, Place, and Mentor Staff
• Play a significant role in presentations to prospective clients and participate in ongoing client relationship programs
• Achieve maximum profit on each project in a manner consistent with Ryan’s long-term interests
• Train team members in best-in-class estimating, scheduling, and construction management techniques
• Assist the Vice President of Field Operations in the employee evaluation process, making recommendations for compensation
• Prepare monthly reports for the Vice President of Field Operations on the status of all assigned projects
• Actively participate in Field Manager/Field Coordinator meetings and support decisions made
• Assist the Vice President of Field Operations in project/personnel assignments, workload monitoring, and accomplishing field operation “Action Plans”
• Stay current on regional union issues, reviewing and approving project labor agreements
