Director of Faith formation for Children - Sacramental Prep - Mother Seton Parish - Germantown Maryland

Duties & Responsibilities

• Captures the Sacramental program for First Penance, First Communion and Confirmation.
• Teaches children requiring extra sacramental preparation.
• Recruits and trains volunteers.
• Evaluates program curricula and acts as parish resource person in methods and some areas of Theology.
• Develops a budget for Faith Formation – Sacramental Preparation Program.
• Administers administrative oversight of registration, sacramental records and documentation, parent communication, scheduling, retreat and liturgy coordination, etc.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
• Able to maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
• Excellent listener.
• Master’s degree in Catholic Theology or Faith Formation experience.
• Experience conducting online meetings and activities for individuals and groups.
• Experience with administrative functions (budgeting, scheduling, institutional relationships).
• Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook, Google Suite).
