Director of Experiential Marketing & Executive Engagement

What you will do

  • Experiential Marketing Strategy: Define and execute the experiential marketing roadmap, aligning sponsorships, industry events, executive hospitality, customer experiences, and partner activations with company growth objectives and marketing priorities.
  • Executive Engagement & Hospitality: Build and manage executive engagement programs that create opportunities for meaningful interactions with customers, prospects, partners, and industry leaders before, during, and after strategic events.
  • Strategic Sponsorship Activation: Own the activation strategy for key sponsorship investments, ensuring every activation drives awareness, relationship development, customer engagement, and business impact.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Brand, Content, and Executive Leadership to develop engagement strategies, coordinate participation, and maximize the value of strategic events and experiences.
  • Relationship Development & Opportunity Creation: Serve as a visible representative of the Payactiv brand at industry events and executive gatherings, identifying opportunities, facilitating introductions, and supporting relationship-building efforts across target accounts and strategic partners.
  • Program Analytics & Optimization: Develop frameworks to measure engagement, influence, executive participation, relationship development, and business outcomes, using data and insights to continuously improve program performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee event planning, vendor management, agency relationships, hospitality programs, and activation logistics to ensure high-quality experiences and flawless execution.

What you need

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event marketing, sponsorship activation, executive engagement, partnerships, business development, or related disciplines, with demonstrated ownership of high-profile programs and stakeholder relationships.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40–50% for customer meetings, executive engagements, conferences, industry events, partner activations, and sponsorships. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required to support key events and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Relationship Leadership: Proven ability to build trust and credibility with executives, customers, partners, and senior stakeholders while creating environments that foster meaningful business relationships.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience developing and executing programs that connect brand-building activities to measurable business outcomes, including customer engagement, pipeline influence, partner development, and market visibility.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to represent Payactiv confidently in executive-level environments and industry settings.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated success leading initiatives across multiple stakeholders, teams, agencies, vendors, and external partners.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how experiential marketing, executive engagement, and relationship development contribute to revenue growth, customer retention, and ecosystem expansion.
  • Industry Background: Experience in fintech, HR technology, payroll, workforce technology, SaaS, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Mindset: A highly entrepreneurial, relationship-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is energized by creating opportunities through human connection.
