About the role

The Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center is a high-end private facility managed by Benchmark Hospitality. It offers 1,400 single-occupancy rooms, nine restaurants, and 200,000 square feet of meeting space. The property is located in Westlake, Texas, near Keller, Southlake, and Roanoke.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, trains, coaches, disciplines, and conducts performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Assigns, trains, supports, and directs staff to achieve maximum efficiency and performance, adhering to property policies and standards.
  • Directs all aspects of conference and event operations, ensuring high customer service levels.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with the team, boosts morale, and resolves employee issues.
  • Prepares budgets, forecasts, and capital requests, controls expenses to align with revenues, and ensures guest experience scores meet or exceed property standards.
  • Supports owner initiatives and acts as a resource for projects.

Requirements

  • Department head experience required.
  • 4 years' experience managing other managers or supervisors required.
  • 8 years' experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in Conference Centers or Conference Center Hotels.
  • Previous experience with managing financials and developing budgets.
  • Knowledge of event service equipment, set-up styles, and audio-visual systems.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Event, Sales, and Catering systems, and Infor experience desirable.
