Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of electric utility client programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.
  • Grow and develop contracts with existing clients and lead business development for new projects and clients.
  • Develop, track, and maintain production, financial, and quality metrics for every phase of a given project.
  • Ensure monthly targets set at the executive level are tracking, trending, and forecasted on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Propose, document, and maintain continual process improvements to internal standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations to control costs and improve productivity.
  • Troubleshoot both internal and client issues and resolve these promptly.
  • Lead resolution of complex internal program escalations, ensuring timely mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and minimal impact to program delivery.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Electric Utility Distribution, Transmission and Substation program management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Project Management (PMP) certification preferred.
  • CA Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Business development experience and acumen with utilities and agencies highly preferred.
  • Experience in a managerial, supervisory, or training capacity preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Electric Distribution, Transmission and Substation construction.
  • Demonstrated project planning and management experience involving critical path analysis and scheduling to coordinate and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
  • High level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic.

Pay

Pay Range: $180,000 - $230,000 per year

Work Environment

Hybrid 1-2 days per week in the San Diego, CA office

Visa Sponsorship

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Physical Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check

Travel

Up to 10% travel within Southern California region
