About the role

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) seeks a strategic and experienced Director of Elections to oversee all regional operations related to election administration.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise elections
  • Manage staff and temporary workers
  • Develop and negotiate contracts
  • Analyze performance data
  • Ensure adherence to AAA policy, U.S. Department of Labor regulations, and industry standards
  • Oversee quality assurance, vendor coordination, and fiscal oversight
  • Grow AAA's election services portfolio through strategic outreach and business development

Requirements

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, political science, or a related field, with 4-6 years of experience in a client-centric legal or corporate environment, election administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple, detail-intensive projects or cases simultaneously is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Understanding of election operations and U.S. Department of Labor regulations
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel regionally and domestically 15%-25%
