About the role
The American Arbitration Association (AAA) seeks a strategic and experienced Director of Elections to oversee all regional operations related to election administration.
Responsibilities
- Supervise elections
- Manage staff and temporary workers
- Develop and negotiate contracts
- Analyze performance data
- Ensure adherence to AAA policy, U.S. Department of Labor regulations, and industry standards
- Oversee quality assurance, vendor coordination, and fiscal oversight
- Grow AAA's election services portfolio through strategic outreach and business development
Requirements
This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, political science, or a related field, with 4-6 years of experience in a client-centric legal or corporate environment, election administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple, detail-intensive projects or cases simultaneously is strongly preferred.
- Leadership and team management skills
- Understanding of election operations and U.S. Department of Labor regulations
- Multitasking and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel regionally and domestically 15%-25%
