We're seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences that enrich the lives of our residents every day. Full-time dayshift, routinely 9am to 5pm, with the flexibility to meet dining operation needs between 5am and 8pm. To support continuous campus operations, this role includes a rotating schedule of every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.
Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing the Dining Services team.
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and evaluating department co-workers.
- Managing departmental staffing, scheduling, budgets, purchasing, inventory, and food costs.
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintaining exceptional kitchen cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Monitoring quality assurance initiatives, mock surveys, and QMI performance.
- Creating an outstanding dining experience that consistently exceeds resident expectations.
- Utilizing Point of Service menu technology to support resident meal service.
- Collaborating with campus leadership to promote excellence in hospitality and customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of food service management experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Culinary Arts or Hospitality degree preferred.
- Current Food Safety Certification through an ANSI-approved program.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience managing budgets, inventory, staffing, and operational performance.
- Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to serving others.
