About the role

The Director of Development - Tulsa Region reports to the Assistant Vice President for Advancement and Campaigns and will manage a portfolio of major gift donors ($25,000+).

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with fellow OU Foundation colleagues as well as faculty, staff and administrative leadership across all OU campuses to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
  • Carries an expected annual fundraising goal of $3 million ($15 million over a rolling five-year period).
  • Requires regular regional travel.
  • Bridges complex, impact-based philanthropic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-8 progressive experience in fundraising, sales and/or gift planning-related roles required.
  • Master's degree or CFRE preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience managing high-value donor portfolios.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
