About the role

R2S, the region’s only Black-led literacy organization, is hiring a Director of Development to lead our fundraising strategy — grants, donor and sponsor relationships, and campaigns. You’ll own the full development portfolio, from prospect research through stewardship, building the systems that grow our funding base for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy encompassing grants, donor and sponsor relationships, and campaigns
• Manage the full development lifecycle from prospect research to stewardship
• Build systems to grow the funding base sustainably

Requirements

• Confident grant writer and relationship‑builder
• Track record in nonprofit fundraising
• Experience managing a full grant lifecycle
