About the RoleTrinity’s Director of Development is responsible for overseeing all fundraising efforts in collaboration with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. This position will manage the following areas: Annual Giving, Major Giving, Campaign, Planned Giving, Grant Writing & Institutional Scholarships. Responsibilities DevelopmentCreate and execute an annual, strategic plan for developmentWork with President and Vice President of Institutional Advancement to develop and cultivate principal donors and high-level prospectsPrepare gift revenue reports and analyze dataBenchmark and stay updated on latest trends in the industry Annual GivingDevelop and produce solicitations in coordination with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Director of Alumnae RelationsProduce two direct mail appeals annuallyImplement an e-solicitation strategy (e.g. Giving Tuesday)Serve as liaison and oversee Trinity’s outsourced Phonathon programManage Parents Donor Program (Pledge for Blazer Excellence)Plan and execute a Trinity Giving Day (3.3 Empower Day of Giving)Manage recognition clubs/societies (Trinity Society, Heritage Society, etc.)Organize and manage a student Thankathon Major GivingMaintain and manage a portfolio of prospects (locally and regionally)Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, steward Trinity prospects and donorsSupport special events engaging Trinity prospects and donorsProvide donor relations support in stewarding major gift prospects CampaignSupport President and Vice President of Institutional Advancement on strategic fundraising initiatives/campaigns Planned GivingServe as liaison to vendor to produce planned giving marketing materialsFollow up with planned giving prospects Grant WritingPrepare letters of intent, proposals and reports for grant and funding opportunitiesTrack and manage proposal and reporting deadlinesWork with prospect researcher to identify new funding opportunities Institutional ScholarshipsManage and cultivate relationships with FoundationsLiaison between students, families and foundations–collecting information and providing reportsCoordinate with The Business Office to report, manage and award financial aidParticipate and assist with Foundation events QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredMinimum of five (5) years of proven and successful experience in development or a related fieldUnderstanding of the mission and values of Trinity High School and the ability to effectively support and communicate them, especially to external audiencesAbility to express verbally and in writing Trinity High School’s institutional identity and fundraising goals with clarity, passion and persuasionAbility to build collaborative relationships with both the community and a diverse alumnae and constituencyCRM/donor database management experience required; Raiser’s Edge experience preferredExcellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills; self-reliant and results-oriented Pay range and compensation packageSalary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
