Join a company dedicated to making a positive impact worldwide. As a seasoned philanthropic leader with 5-10 years of fundraising experience, you'll play a crucial role in securing major gifts and building robust donor portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a robust portfolio of major gift donors and prospects using data and discernment.
  • Qualify prospects through research, direct outreach, and networked referrals, and track donor relationships using CRM tools.
  • Lead high-touch engagement plans and personalized solicitation strategies, serving as a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor.
  • Develop and execute joint strategies with VP of Development, President, and board members, and collaborate with community and events staff to optimize engagement opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, promoting excellence in fundraising practices, and mentor other CERI staff in development approaches and donor engagement best practices.
  • Host and lead vision trip experiences to deepen engagement with major gift partners, represent CERI at community gatherings, and speak at public events.
  • Create customized cultivation events tailored to donor interests to promote CERI across the country, and engage prospective donors in mission-aligned experiences.
  • Assist with annual campaigns and other fundraising events as needed.

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, non-profit management or related field.
  • Preferred: Fluency in a second language and experience leading vision trips.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of fundraising development experience and a verified track record of meeting ambitious financial targets.
  • Skills: Sophisticated ability to secure major gifts through strategic engagement, exceptional communication skills, proficiency in donor management systems, and agility to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and globally mobile environment.
  • Experience: Recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing team, managing a team including gift officers for church relationships, corporations and foundations, and mid-level giving.
  • Technical: Salesforce experience.
  • Travel: 30%-40% of the time.
  • Other: Excellent in both oral and written communications, ability to work through stringent deadlines with attention to detail and focus on priorities, self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, integrity in dealing with confidential donor, client, and financial information, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, ability to inspire confidence and trust in agency leadership and donors, ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, cultural sensitivity towards the served population, computer literacy, willingness to work across multiple databases, valid driver’s license, work eligibility status, and pass required background checks.
