About the role
The Director of Delivery at Nimble Gravity drives real business value for clients across complex data and AI engagements. They also develop the next generation of delivery talent alongside clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead with empathy and business acumen, earning client trust through the quality of the work and the depth of the relationship.
- Own health and quality across a defined portfolio of accounts.
- Act as the escalation point when delivery dynamics require senior judgment.
- Partner closely with sales and technical leadership to shape what comes next for each client.
- Be the senior delivery presence clients trust.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships across the full engagement lifecycle.
- Stay close enough to understand shifting priorities, anticipate concerns, and ensure every client feels like a partner, not a project.
- Serve as the escalation point when it matters.
- Coach and develop delivery talent.
- Directly develop a small team of PMs and CEMs.
- Build their delivery judgment, client communication instincts, and ability to translate insights into client-ready thinking.
- Partner on growth and expansion.
- Work alongside Growth Managing Principals on assigned accounts.
- Help identify and shape future phases that are grounded in delivery reality and client trust.
- Drive consistency across the portfolio.
- Promote shared delivery standards, surface patterns across engagements, and cross-pollinate what's working.
- Ensure clients experience Nimble Gravity the same way regardless of who's on their team.
- Own delivery health and operational visibility.
- Hold accountability for scope, timeline, resourcing, quality, and margin across assigned accounts.
- Maintain the discipline that enables accurate engagement health reviews and financial reporting, giving Finance, Growth, and Delivery leadership what they need to make good decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years in delivery, consulting, or client engagement roles, with direct ownership of multi-account portfolios, P&L accountability, and executive-level client relationships.
- A technology or data and AI consulting background is preferred.
- A track record of developing senior delivery practitioners and building high-performing, client-centric teams.
- Comfortable operating across a matrixed organization.
- Comfort working hand in hand with technical leadership to drive engagement success.
- Fluency in margin management, revenue forecasting, and the dynamics of professional services economics.
- A habit of keeping engagement data clean, current, and decision-ready across the tools and systems your team relies on.
Qualifications
- Client judgment: The instinct to know when to engage, what to say, and how to frame a difficult conversation with a C-suite stakeholder.
- Experience: 10+ years in delivery, consulting, or client engagement roles, with direct ownership of multi-account portfolios, P&L accountability, and executive-level client relationships.
- Technology or data and AI consulting background strongly preferred.
- Leadership: A track record of developing senior delivery practitioners and building high-performing, client-centric teams.
- Comfortable operating across a matrixed organization.
- Technical partnership: Comfort working hand in hand with technical leadership to drive engagement success.
- Commercial acumen: Fluency in margin management, revenue forecasting, and the dynamics of professional services economics.
- Operational rigor: A habit of keeping engagement data clean, current, and decision-ready across the tools and systems your team relies on.
Bonus Points
- Background in data science, AI, or AI-driven transformation consulting.
- Experience building or scaling delivery operating models in a growth-stage company.
- Familiarity with Microsoft partner ecosystems or co-selling motions.
- Prior experience navigating the growth-to-delivery transition in a consulting context.
- History of contributing to proposal development or SOW creation alongside a growth team.
