About the role
At Teledyne Microwave Solutions, you will lead the contracts function supporting advanced technologies for aerospace, defense, and high-performance commercial applications. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will build strong cross-functional relationships and develop a high-performing contracts team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of U.S. government and commercial contracts, from proposal through closeout
- Direct negotiations and execution of complex agreements, including long-term and confidentiality agreements
- Advises executive leadership on contractual strategy, obligations, and risk mitigation
- Reviews solicitations to identify key requirements, risks, and deliverables
- PARTNER WITH FINANCE, LEGAL, AND PROGRAM TEAMS ON PRICING AND CONTRACT STRATEGY
- OVERSEES ADMINISTRATION OF PRIME CONTRACTS, SUBCONTRACTS, AND COMMERCIAL AGREEMENTS
- ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS, INCLUDING FEDERAL ACQUISITION RULES AND EXPORT CONTROLS
- SUPPORT AUDITS AND MAINTAIN CONTRACT DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
- DRIVE PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS, STANDARDIZATION, AND CONTRACT GOVERNANCE
- LEAD, MENTOR, AND DEVELOP CONTRACTS STAFF
Requirements
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively
- Deep knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and defense contracting practices
- Extensive experience managing complex government contracts and teams
- 8–10+ years of contracts experience, including government contracting
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- (Master’s a plus)
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
