About the role

At Teledyne Microwave Solutions, you will lead the contracts function supporting advanced technologies for aerospace, defense, and high-performance commercial applications. As Director of Contracts, you will shape contract strategy, drive compliance, and partner with executive leadership to enable business growth while minimizing risk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of U.S. government and commercial contracts, from proposal through closeout
  • Direct negotiations and execution of complex agreements, including long-term and confidentiality agreements
  • Advises executive leadership on contractual strategy, obligations, and risk mitigation
  • Reviews solicitations to identify key requirements, risks, and deliverables
  • PARTNER WITH FINANCE, LEGAL, AND PROGRAM TEAMS ON PRICING AND CONTRACT STRATEGY
  • Oversee administration of prime contracts, subcontracts, and commercial agreements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including federal acquisition rules and export controls
  • SUPPORT AUDITS AND MAINTAIN CONTRACT DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
  • DRIVE PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS, STANDARDIZATION, AND CONTRACT GOVERNANCE
  • LEAD, MENTOR, AND DEVELOP CONTRACTS STAFF

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills – required
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively – required
  • Deep knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and defense contracting practices – required
  • Extensive experience managing complex government contracts and teams – required
  • 8–10+ years of contracts experience, including government contracting – required
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems – preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field – required (Master’s a plus)
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance – required

Pay

$150,400.00-$200,500.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
