Responsibilities
- Define the long-term research agenda for computer vision capabilities and promote scientific excellence
- Provide executive leadership, shaping the technical architecture and engineering roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform
- Oversee the growth of a distributed computer vision research and engineering organization while mentoring talent
- Manage the entire engineering lifecycle for scalable computer vision models and AI infrastructure
- Establish metrics to track engineering performance and drive continuous improvement
- Integrate cutting-edge research and technologies while managing technical risks and trade-offs
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical leadership experience in computer vision teams and organizations, particularly in production environments
- Demonstrated expertise in computer vision and machine learning algorithms, particularly in MLOps lifecycle management
- Prominent experience defining long-term engineering strategy and roadmaps for large-scale platforms
- Ability to manage, mentor, and scale engineering teams of 50 to 100 individuals across multiple locations
- Hands-on experience in driving foundational research and innovation in AI performance metrics
- Track record of translating complex customer needs into clear technical roadmaps
- Experience in a fast-paced or start-up environment, showcasing ownership and agility
