About the role
The Director of Competitive and Platform Intelligence is a strategic leadership role that transforms complex market, competitive, customer, and platform data into actionable insights that guide Aerospace growth strategy, portfolio and investment decisions, and commercial execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end market intelligence for the Aerospace business, including market sizing, segmentation, demand drivers, and early signals across commercial, defense, and aftermarket segments.
- Own competitive intelligence across platforms, pricing, technology roadmaps, and M&A, delivering clear competitor profiles, battlecards, and win/loss insights to inform strategy and commercial decisions.
- Lead platform intelligence and penetration efforts, maintaining visibility into current and future OEM and defense platforms, refresh cycles, spec-in dynamics, and platform-level outcomes.
- Serve as Product Owner for Energy Transition platforms by defining platform vision, customer value proposition, differentiation, and long-term roadmap direction.
- Support Aerospace growth and strategic planning through fact-based market insights, adjacency identification, business case development, investment prioritization, and M&A evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Prefer 10+ years of experience in product/ portfolio management, platform strategy, competitive intelligence, strategy, or related roles within Aerospace or complex B2B industries.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic recommendations for senior leaders.
- Strong executive communication skills and comfort influencing across functions.
