Public Relations$200k/yrFull-time

Alpha is reimagining the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real‑world skills. The company hires teachers (Guides), operators, admissions experts, curriculum leaders, and remote team members to create a radically better school experience.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the relationship with every family on campus and lead hard conversations, delivering clear decisions and following through until resolved.
  • Defend Alpha’s AI‑powered model against screen‑time worries, skeptical relatives, and moments of doubt.
  • Operate as the parent‑facing co‑leader alongside Guides, aligning before and after sensitive conversations and protecting the coaching relationship.
  • Make real‑time judgment calls in ambiguous student and family situations, escalating child‑safety, legal, and high‑risk matters through the correct path.
  • Build campus community: traditions, parent networks, local partnerships, and trusted parent champions.
  • Own the growth contribution appropriate to the campus phase—developing local demand and admissions follow‑through at launch or under‑enrolled campuses, and focusing on retention, referrals, and handoffs at mature campuses.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Forwarding concerns to someone else instead of making a decision.
  • Keeping the peace by saying yes, softening standards, or treating parent concerns as a ticket queue.
  • Escalating every ambiguous situation to avoid ownership, or conversely, ignoring issues that belong with campus leadership, safety, or legal.
  • Taking over mentoring or coaching decisions that belong to Guides, or leaving Guides to absorb parent issues you should resolve.
  • Routine school administration, desk work, or waiting for a playbook before acting.

Basic Requirements

  • Live within commuting distance of one of these campuses or relocate within 60 days: Boca Raton, FL; Burlington, VT; Jackson Hole, WY; Las Vegas, NV; Palm Beach, FL; Park City, UT; Tulsa, OK.
  • On‑site full‑time, including early mornings, late afternoons, evening events 2–3 times/month, and occasional weekends.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • 5+ years personally owning high‑trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members, where judgment and follow‑through changed retention or advocacy.
  • Track record of holding firm decisions with demanding stakeholders without losing the relationship.
  • Independent ownership of an ambiguous relationship, community, or growth outcome with demonstrable results.
  • Willingness to own school growth and admissions follow‑through when campus phase calls for it.
  • Clear, concise communication that quickly earns confidence with affluent, high‑expectation families.
  • Familiarity with independent, private, or non‑traditional education.
  • Hands‑on daily use of AI tools and genuine conviction about AI‑powered education.

Nice‑to‑Have Requirements

  • Established local network in the campus city (school, civic, faith, business, or community) that can be activated quickly.
  • Private or independent school experience with a track record of family retention and deep community building.
  • Experience as the relationship owner alongside educators or other professionals, maintaining clear boundaries between family ownership and instructional craft.
  • Launch or early‑stage assignment where you personally built local demand and saw it through to committed families.
  • Instinct for creating experiences (events, moments, environments) where people feel they belong to something worth protecting.
  • Startup or early‑stage experience building from nothing while staying grounded during rapid change.

Benefits

  • Health coverage (medical, dental, vision), life and disability insurance.
  • Voluntary benefits, tax‑advantaged FSA, HSA, and commuter accounts.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.
  • One‑time relocation allowance.

Compensation
